The car was ordered on February 12, 1969 and built on June 18 before being delivered to its first owner on June 29 through Jack Sullivan Chevrolet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Power is from a numbers-matching 427ci V8 that featured open-chambered aluminum cylinder heads, a performance camshaft, a 12.0:1 compression ratio, and a four-barrel Holley carburetor from the factory. Additional equipment includes a matching Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission, a 4.11:1 Positraction rear end, heavy-duty suspension and power disc brakes, and transistor ignition.
